Explore Our Neighborhood!

The Urban Child Academy neighborhood is home to the Hancock Building and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, exclusive hotels, like the Drake and the Ritz-Carlton, and minutes from Navy Pier and its Children's Museum. On warmer days, Millennium Park offers dazzling music, art, landscape design and architecture- including the mammoth stainless-steel Cloud Gate sculpture- plus ice skating in the winter, splashing around in the interactive Crown Fountain during summer, and some of the finest picnic spots in Chicago. For all of our students, these are just a quick trip on the Red Line or a long stroller ride on a warm summer day.

The Urban Child Academy Campus

Our campus is located right in the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world. Urban Child Academy is steps away from the renovated Washington Square Park where we spend a great deal of outdoor time. Gold Coast is home to the historic Water Tower, a great vantage point for watching the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile or checking out free art exhibits, before we head over to the historic Chicago Fire Station No. 98. We are lucky to have Seneca Playlot Park, Lakeshore Park, and the Museum of Contemporary Art- at our disposal for art and SOAR summer farmer's market finds.
